If you have a talent, you should always try to embrace it. No matter what it is, you could change someone's life for the better…. Some may think "what about someone who makes music? There's so many people who are 'artists,' so why do we need another one?" Or they may think "I'm not going to reach millions of people so what's the point?"
The answer: Because your way of music or your talent could really speak to somebody else and help make their problems seem a little bit smaller. Yes, we all need doctors, we need scientists, but we need entertainers too because we can't just work all of the time. Life is so short, and after all of the time working, sleeping, eating and taking care of our needs, we only have a small amount of time. So, we need to take advantage of that free time and what we love and desire to do.
That's why, even though I am going to school to become a paralegal to pay the bills, and even though I actually enjoy law, I am trying to make it as a writer. I love to write, I believe it's my passion and talent, and just the possibility that my writing could change one person's life for the better makes me feel so fulfilled.
So, my thought for you is to go out there and do what you enjoy most. What is your talent? Is it playing the guitar? Go find a coffee shop to play in. Can you balance 5 glasses on your nose? Make a YouTube video! Whatever your talent is, show it off and have fun doing it! (Oh and don't let some asshole tell you you can't).
